Hen Party Dance Class SouthamptonThirty-nine themes. One fee for the lot of you.
This is the page maids of honour bookmark. Choose a theme — or don’t, yet — and a professional teacher meets your hen party in a room we hire between the station and the Bedford Place bars, then invents a routine on the spot for the exact mix of dancers and refuseniks you bring. £185 covers the whole group for ninety minutes, £160 for the hour; the venue’s hire cost is the only thing on top, and it’s quoted before you commit. A hen do dance class needs no experience — that’s the entire point of it.

The date is the hard part. Send it.
Rough is fine — “the first Saturday of August 2027” is a perfectly good answer. You’ll get availability, both rooms’ hire costs and a straight answer back within the day, from a human who plans these weekends for a living.
a good hen party idea gets booked by whoever moves first — dates go to the quick
The full workshop — warm-up, routine, finale filming — and the length most parties pick.
Same idea, tighter edit. Suits a hen day with a packed itinerary and a dinner booking looming.
The teacher travels to your cottage, hotel or holiday let anywhere in Hampshire — pay the class fee alone.
whether nine hens come or twenty-nine, neither figure moves — a hen party activity priced per head is not our sport
Choreographed after meeting you, never before.
Other companies drill every group through the same steps. Ours land with a blank page: your teacher sizes up the room — ages, nerves, how the prosecco’s going — and composes the routine right there, in the theme you picked, at a level everyone can actually hit. It’s what lets a dance hen party put three generations on one floor, and why no two Southampton hen dos leave with the same video.
Warm-up first. Ten daft minutes that quietly teach the moves the routine is built from.
Then the build. Section by section, demonstrated slow, drilled to the music, cheered loudly.
Then the take. Phones on the windowsill, one full run-through, a wedding-speech clip forever.
Every theme we teach.

Two rooms we hire. Or yours.
We keep a pair of proper dance-friendly spaces on call in the middle of Southampton and match your party to whichever fits. Both sit an easy stroll from Westquay, Oxford Street and the after-class cocktails. Prefer zero logistics? The class comes to wherever the weekend is already happening.
room hire is quoted with your date — no surprises after booking
Three parties, verbatim.
“Booked it as the sensible daytime bit of the hen do. It ended up being the thing everyone talked about at the wedding.”
“Our teacher clocked within five minutes that nan was in charge, and built the whole routine around her. Genius.”
“Eleven of us in a New Forest barn, zero coordination between us, one honestly decent Beyoncé number by teatime.”
The questions every organiser asks.
and the answers, minus the waffle ↓
How does the hen party pricing actually work?+
Two numbers, told to you upfront. The class fee is fixed — £185 for the ninety-minute session, £160 for the hour — and the venue’s hire cost goes on top, quoted in writing before you confirm. Bring us to your hen house instead and the second number vanishes. Headcount never changes either figure.
Can we book before the theme is decided?+
Absolutely — most groups do. The date is the scarce thing, the theme is a dropdown; lock the Saturday now and let the group chat fight over Grease versus Beyoncé later. Swapping theme before the day costs nothing.
What happens if some of the group genuinely can't dance?+
Nothing bad. Your teacher walks in with no set routine and builds one on the spot for the crowd in front of them, so the choreography lands where your least-coordinated hen can grab it. No experience needed is policy here, not a slogan.
Do you bring costumes, props or themed extras?+
No — dressing up is the group's job, and honestly half the fun. Come as full Pink Ladies or come in gym leggings; the class works either way. We arrive with the teacher, the playlist and a speaker.
Where do Southampton hen classes take place?+
Two central rooms we hire — one off Southbrook Road near the station, one on Bedford Place in the thick of the bars — with the exact room matched to your group size. Or the teacher comes to your hen house, hotel or holiday let anywhere in Hampshire.
How far ahead do Southampton dates go?+
Summer Saturdays and cruise-departure weekends are the crunch — six to eight weeks ahead is comfortable. That said, gaps appear at short notice all the time, so a long-shot date is always worth thirty seconds of form.
Is the bride made to perform on her own?+
Only if she'd love that. Tell us on the form whether she wants the spotlight solo, a big finale moment with everyone, or to hide safely in row two — the routine bends to her, not the other way round.
